21 Percent Decline in Cement Shipments - 1HFY22-23x

Total domestic and export shipments of cement decreased from 27,456,000 tons in the same period last year to 21,764,000 tons in the first half of this year, showing a downward trend.

Economic recession in the country is the cause of nearly 21. Domestic shipments fell by 16.77% to 20.03 million tons from 24.065 million tons in the same period last year.

According to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), cement shipments fell by 15.55% from 1 to 22 December. Total shipments of cement on December 22 were 3.881 million tons, up from 4.595 million tons in the same month of the previous year. From July to December 2022, the domestic shipment of cement from the Nambu plant was 3.508 million tons, down 10.10% from 3.902 million tons in the same period last year.
