The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) has registered the Central Business District (CBD) as a flagship project on the development landscape of Punjab, according to news published on December 19.
The CBD is a business centre that has become the province’s economic backbone, according to the news outlet. To improve the city’s infrastructure, the PCBDDA has begun work on the PKR 4.2 billion CBD Punjab Boulevard and Kalma Chowk Underpass renovation projects. According to the specifics, the reconstruction of the Kalma Chowk Underpass has been moving along quickly. Out of the 2,000 retaining piles, 1,200 have been finished so far.
Imran Amin, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CBD Punjab, was described as monitoring the project’s development. The CEO has said that the project will be finished by February 2023 from the appropriate authority.
Additionally, the design of the roof of the parking plaza has been built. A representative (whose identity was hidden) stated that the construction work has been completed as quickly as possible to ensure the continuous flow of traffic. According to the news source, a backup traffic plan for the entire closure of the Kalma Chowk underpass is being developed and will be made public once it is finished.
