Commissioner Lahore Takes Strict Action Against LDA Avenue-I Land Grabbers

In a proactive response to the directives of Commissioner Lahore and Director General (DG) of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a major operation was conducted at LDA Avenue-I to address the issue of illegal constructions and encroachments on parking spaces.

An extensive operation unfolded, witnessing LDA teams taking decisive action by demolishing sheds, boards, floors, and other unauthorized structures at more than 35 commercial properties in the area.

Furthermore, over 20 properties were sealed as part of the operation to prevent further illegal activities.

To ensure the effectiveness of the operation, a heavy contingent of police personnel and heavy machinery were actively involved, all working under the meticulous supervision of Additional DG Housing, Captain (retd) Shahmir Iqbal.

It was revealed that the land grabber mafia had unlawfully occupied more than 10 Kanal of land, initially designated for road construction in L-Block. This illegal occupation severely hindered the area’s development plans and threatened public convenience.

Commissioner Lahore and DG LDA have displayed a firm commitment to addressing the issue of unauthorized constructions and encroachments, aiming to restore order and adhere to planned development in LDA Avenue-I.

The operation conducted at LDA Avenue-I is a significant step towards reclaiming the designated land and ensuring that parking spaces are available for public use, contributing to the overall improvement of the area’s infrastructure and urban landscape.
