The Lahore Bridge expansion project has been given a completion date next month as more than 75 % of construction is complete.
Project manager Mobeen Asghar said that the project is unlikely to be completed this month, but the bridge will be open to the public. Furthermore, it was revealed that the completion of the project was delayed due to factors such as Pakistan Railways not issuing his NOC.
This extension project is part of the Rs 1,711 crore Gulab Devi Underpass Project. The underpass was opened to the public months ago while construction on the bridge was delayed because his NOC for the project had not yet been issued.
Without the NOC, the LDA would not have the authority to drive piles or launch carriers when crossing tracks at railroad crossings.
