A high-level meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Dr Ehtesham Anwar Mahar has announced a project aimed at preserving heritage, monuments, and historical places while enhancing the beauty of Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar Districts to boost tourism and recreational activities.
During the meeting, which was attended by the deputy commissioners of the three districts and officials of the Parks and Horticulture Authority and Cholistan Development Authority, it was decided to utilize all available government resources to beautify the districts and establish public-private partnerships to create recreational facilities in the identified areas.
The plan includes the rehabilitation and renovation of public parks, playgrounds, and historic buildings.
The deputy commissioners updated the meeting on ongoing uplift projects in their respective districts, and Commissioner Mahar instructed them to create awareness among people about waste management while also increasing the number of recreational facilities.
