A memorandum of understanding has been signed between ICCI and Pakistan Stone Development Company to facilitate trade within the private and public sectors of the marble and granite industry.
The MoU will ensure that PASDEC’s Marble Division will be technically supported during the planning, development and implementation phases of mechanized mining and processing facilities to ensure better growth. PASDEC is also required to provide technical support to the investor and business community and to facilitate the export of marble and granite.
According to ICCI’s proposal, PASDEC will assist the federal government in developing Marble City, Machinery and Pool Camp, among other projects. In addition, strategies and proposals for both sectors will be submitted to the Government of Pakistan. It also decided to invite ICCI members to make recommendations at policy-making meetings.
