Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Director General/Commissioner of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), revealed that the highly anticipated Walk and Shop LDA’s Shopping Arena will soon be accepting bids for the auction of its retail spaces.
Chairing a Working Group meeting, Randhawa emphasized the private sector nature of the project, highlighting the attractive investment options it offers to citizens.
The state-of-the-art shopping center, constructed on a sprawling 130 kanal area adjacent to Johar Town Main Boulevard, is poised to become a distinctive addition to Lahore’s retail landscape and stand out among shopping malls across the province.
During the meeting, it was noted that the Shopping Arena has been built in an international style, incorporating various amenities such as a shopping mall, a play area, stores, rooftop restaurants, and ample parking space for over 500 cars and 500 bicycles.
“The Walk and Shop Arena features a shopping mall with an international flair,” stated LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa, emphasizing the modern design and facilities of the project.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of key officials, including representatives from DG Housing, Chief Engineers One and Two, Chief Town Planner, and other relevant departments, further highlighting the significance of this upcoming venture.
Simultaneously, following the directives of LDA DG Randhawa, the Housing Seven Department launched a massive operation against the land mafia in Johar Town, resulting in the recovery of state properties worth millions of rupees.
Under the guidance of Director Khurram Yaqoob, the employees of Housing Seven diligently dismantled multiple illegal structures erected by unlawful occupants. Notable among the recovered plots were Plots 551 to 567 of Block E-2, 415, 391, and 392 of Block G-4, 37 of Block H-1, and Plot No. 586 of Block F.
With the upcoming auction of retail spaces at Walk and Shop LDA’s Shopping Arena, Lahore residents can expect exciting investment prospects, while the crackdown on land mafia by the Housing Seven Department demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to preserving state property and ensuring lawful usage of land in the Johar Town area.
