Murree To Get Parking Plazas

Rawalpindi Commissioner, Liaqat Ali Chatha, has directed the relevant authorities to prepare a comprehensive report on constructing two parking plazas at suitable locations in Murree. 

A spokesperson confirmed that a committee had been formed to finalize the plans and that the director of development and executive engineer has been instructed to visit Murree and submit a detailed proposal for the construction of the parking plazas in the next meeting.

During the meeting, Commissioner Chatha also inquired about the work progress on three bypasses in Murree, namely Dadyal, Bustan Mor, and Bansara Gali to Kali Mitti. He emphasized the need for timely updates on the status of these projects in the upcoming meeting. 

Furthermore, he instructed to enhance the facilities at the National Park of Murree and Kotli Station.

To improve the environmental condition of Murree, the forest department has been directed to initiate a strategic tree plantation campaign. This campaign aims to create a conducive environment for tourists while considering the convenience and mobility of the local residents.

Moreover, the commissioner stressed the importance of timely weather forecasts and instructed the meteorological department to provide regular updates to the concerned departments. He emphasized the need for close coordination and cooperation among all departments.
