The Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) announced on Wednesday (June 22) that oil and gas reserves had been discovered in Tandu Alla Yar and Rajanpur (tribal areas) in Punjab province, media sources reported. This is his 11th discovery for our company in the Tando Allah Yar area.
OGDCL reportedly submitted a report to the Government of Pakistan detailing the volume of wells and daily production. Drill Stem Test 1 (DST) on foundations and tested 1,400 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 5.02 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd), according to regulatory filings.
The gas reserves were part of the Company’s extensive exploration campaign with a 95% interest and the remaining 5% held by Government Holdings Private Limited. Similarly, OGDCL says the gas reserves found in Rajanpur are small. However, during DST-1 he flowed cotton gas into the Par and Fort Munro/Mughal formations at a rate of 1.24 mmscfd. A well-tested 0.489 mmscfd of gas was injected into the DST-2 Fort Munro and Mughal Kot formations.
Additionally, 0.192 mmscfd gas from Pab sandstone was analyzed with his DST-3. According to the company, the Rajanpur field will be developed under equal cooperation between OGDCL and Mari Petroleum Company Ltd. managed. It is worth noting that Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) has declared that he has discovered 1 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves in North Waziristan. As a result, it is expected to save $1.5 billion annually in petroleum product imports.
