Pakistan and Denmark have reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative initiatives and projects in renewable energy and the green transition.
The Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy of Denmark, Dan Jørgensen, met with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, to discuss their joint action plan under the Green Framework Engagement Agreement.
The plan aims to drive technological advancement and foster collaborative partnerships in renewable energy, contributing to realizing Sustainable Development Goals. The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation in various domains, including climate change and green transition.
Foreign Minister Bilawal hoped to attract international investment in Pakistan’s wind and green energy sectors, emphasizing the country’s efforts to overcome climate change challenges and build resilient infrastructure.
The Danish minister hailed the agreement as essential and expressed readiness to support Pakistan’s fight against climate change, particularly in the wind energy sector. The partnership aims to create economic opportunities and help Pakistan become an energy-independent and prosperous nation.
