Remodelling of Kalma Chowk Flyover, PCBDDA

Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) has issued the order of remodelling of Kalma Chowk and Central Business District (CBD) Punjab Boulevard. 

The PCBDDA was credited by the news source with ensuring public relief and safety while the megaproject was being built. To avoid any inconvenience, the authority has been using a variety of venues to educate commuters as much as possible about road blockades. It was revealed that the PCBDDA and City Traffic Police (CTP)-Lahore collaborate to maintain a smooth flow of traffic. 

According to PCBDDA Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, the organisation is working to ensure that the enormous project to renovate Kalma Chowk and CBD Punjab Boulevard is finished on schedule. He continued by saying that pile construction on Ali Zeb Road has begun and that pile work from Saint Mary Park to Center Point is almost finished.

The route from Saint Mary to Center Point is currently impassable to vehicles. The Gaddafi Stadium or the Kalma Chowk Underpass are being used as detours for traffic heading from Ferozepur Road toward Liberty Market. Furthermore, traffic from Barkat Market towards Ali Zeb Road can utilise Kalma Chowk Underpass and is redirected from UCH U-turn, while traffic from Liberty Market towards Ali Zeb Road is instructed to use Main Boulevard.
