TEPA to Develop Three Model Roads in Lahore

The Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA) has developed an eight-item agenda to develop three model roads in Lahore.

Under this plan, TEPA will use model transportation and infrastructure plans to develop prison roads, mall roads and Ferozepur Road.

The plan focuses on intrusion exclusion, track management, pedestrian crossing marking, traffic light repair and illegal parking.

Other plans include repairing road cracks and broken boards, expanding roadside green spaces, repairing cat’s eyes and speed bumps, and widening roads as necessary. In this regard, TEPA formed a committee headed by Khak Antar Nima Salam to implement an eight-point agenda.

It is important to note that the three streets that have also been designated as long-term no-signal roads in the city are frequented by commuters due to the presence of important government buildings and public facilities.
