The Redesigned Akbar Chowk Flyover Plan Is Approved

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has approved the revised plan for the Akbar Chowk Flyover during a meeting chaired by Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. 

The meeting, attended by high-ranking officials including the Planning and Development Chairman, Chief Secretary, LDA Director General, and representatives from various departments, addressed several important decisions related to the LDA.

One of the key discussions in the meeting revolved around the Akbar Chowk Flyover plan, which received the green light from the attendees. Additionally, amendments to building and zone regulations were reviewed and approved. During the session, the minister emphasized the importance of compensating landowners per the prevailing market rates for the acquired lands.

The meeting also empowered the LDA’s auction committee to conduct an auction for shops at the Park and Ride Plaza in Liberty Market. Furthermore, a comprehensive review of the four-lane Ravi Bridge project was authorized. 

In addition, an assessment was carried out to allocate land for establishing petrol pumps at transportation terminal sites.

Overall, the meeting proved to be instrumental in advancing various developmental initiatives under the supervision of the LDA, ensuring progress and growth in the Lahore region.
