Capital Development Authority Approves Budget For FY 2023-24

  • Last Updated on: 15 April , 2024

In a recent meeting held at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters, the budget for the financial year 2023-24 was approved, amounting to a total of PKR 150,948.20 million. The estimated expenditure for the CDA during this period is set at PKR 150,095.74 million, leaving a surplus of PKR 852.46 million.

Chaired by Noor Mengal, the important CDA Board meeting also witnessed the approval of a groundbreaking project—the construction of the world’s largest bird aviary within Islamabad F-9 Park. Spanning across a vast area of 10 acres, this aviary aims to house and breed diverse bird species from around the globe.

The primary objective behind the establishment of this bird aviary is to create a sanctuary that contributes to the conservation of biodiversity. Additionally, it will serve as an engaging platform for park visitors, providing both entertainment and valuable information about the avian world.

The construction of the bird aviary will be carried out through an open auction based on the DBOT model (Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer). This approach ensures that the project is efficiently executed and later transferred to the designated authorities.

With this significant development, the CDA is poised to enhance the appeal of F-9 Park while promoting environmental conservation and providing an enriching experience for visitors.
